Prince and Princesses

This morning the kids were busy playing before preschool. You can tell that when they play together, it's usually Maddy who comes up with the 'game' they play. Today they were getting married. Maddy was the princess and she made Ethan her Prince. The game carried on right up until we dropped her off at preschool.

After preschool they got right back into the game and continued to play while I prepared lunch. During lunch, the three of us were sitting at the table and Maddy says, "Mama, you can play too. Do you want to be the...cook?"

Huh?!?! Don't I get to be the queen? 

I think 'the cook' is going to start demanding that the royal household starts to help me in the kitchen a little more often.
