A First Look at "Peanut"

Today we went to UC Baby to see a 3D ultrasound of baby Blommestein2. We did the same thing 2 years ago with Maddy and couldn't imagine not doing it again. We were especially excited to find out that "peanut" will be Maddy's baby BROTHER! The technician kept saying how the baby was definitely not shy about showing the boy bits. We are quite excited about having "one of each" but at the same time, I feel worried that I don't know enough about little baby boys. I guess it'll be a whole new learning curve to follow. Maddy came to the session too and the whole car ride there she kept saying "See peanut, see peanut". I'm not sure she knew exactly what we meant by calling my belly "peanut", but perhaps now, she may have a tiny bit of an idea? Who knows. We're trying all we can to get her used to the idea of a sibling. Here are some picture from the session.

The second trimester has been a lot better this time. The nausea has gone away and except for a few aches and pains, it hasn't been too bad. I'm feeling regular movement and I've noticed that "peanut" moves a lot more than I remember Maddy moving. It also feels like this pregnancy is going by a lot faster than the last, but I have a feeling that it has a more to do with being busy chasing after a toddler. Only a few more months, peanut, before we can finally meet you. The three of us can't wait until then.
