Canada Day Weekend
What a great weekend!! I love long weekends with the friends and family. We started off with a dinner in New Westminster with friends. The Van Dops have been going to 'perogy night' at a Ukranian Church in New West for some time now. Since it was closing it's doors for the summer, we tagged along with Ed, Liezel and Sophia as well. The food was great, the portions were huge and the atmosphere was relaxed. After a perogy induced sleep, we woke on Saturday with general household chores before heading to Richmond to drop the kids off. My sister graciously offered to babysit the kids. Josh and I accepted within the next breath and we went downtown for a night of shopping, dinner and a movie.
Sunday morning was awesome with a sleep in, (in an eerily quiet house) followed by some family time with my sister and parents in Richmond. Then it was back home to prepare for a dinner at our house with some friends.
On Monday we went to celebrate Canada Day in North Vancouver with the 'Edzels' and Van Dops. Liezel knew the perfect corner to camp out on and we had a great view. After a lunch at East Side Marios we were totally beat and just happy to head home for the rest of the weekend.
I just love long weekends. I seems like everyone is so happy to have the extra day off that we just pack so many fun outings in three days. We hope you enjoyed the long weekend too, happy birthday Canada!!
