Tomorrow Maddy will be 20 months. Lately we've been looking at her in her car seat and hardly able to believe how grown up she looks. Here are some new things she's been up to:
- She's found her singing voice. A few of her favourites are "Twinkle, Twinkle", "ABCs", "The Itsy-Bitsy Spider". My favourite part is the "elmo-elmo-pee" part of the alphabet song. Some times she'll be eating in her highchair and just break out in song. I'm trying to get it on video, but she stops when the camera comes out.
- We are now using the insert for the regular toilet. It sure is nice to not have to clean out the little potty. Just flush it away!! For a little while, she would be more efficient and go faster if Josh held her over the "big girl toilet". Finally we got her the seat insert so she can sit comfortably.
- Boo-boos are now more common since she's wearing shorts and dresses for the nicer weather. She is pretty proud of the scabs and likes to show them off. She also likes to kiss them herself or ask for kisses. The funniest was one time she fell and hurt her bum, "Dada, bum, owie. Kiss Bum! Kiss Bum!"
- Maddy still likes books a lot. For a little while she stopped reading during playtime because she was so busy walking around. We're finding that ever since the novelty of walking has worn off, she enjoys reading during play time again. She can ask for most books by name and finishes off the last word of the sentences.
- Maddy's vocabulary just keeps growing. She can, for the the most part, tell us what she wants. It certainly makes things easier for us. She's also learned things like "I miss you", "Good morning, mama" and "See you!" It makes my heart melt.

Where has the time gone. Sometimes it feels that Maddy has always been here, and sometimes it feels she was born yesterday. It so nice to see her on the computer for real. Looking forward to dance and play with her again. Soon Maddy Soon.
